AECO Welcomes Saeid Emamgholian as GIS Manager
TORONTO, Ontario, May 1st, 2023
We are pleased to announce that Saeid Emamgholian has joined the AECO Innovation lab team as our GIS Manager! Saeid is a highly accomplished Geomatics Ph.D. graduate from Université Laval, with a keen interest in leveraging BIM and GIS solutions to facilitate the development approvals process.
Prior to joining AECO, Saeid has made significant contributions to the development of innovative and practical solutions for 3D spatial data analysis and management. During his doctoral research, he developed a conceptual framework for modeling land-use regulations as part of city objects and detecting spatio-semantic conflicts among land-use regulations automatically, particularly those with 3D components. Saeid also worked as a postdoc research fellow at the Centre for Research in Geospatial and Intelligence (CRDIG) at Université Laval, where he focused on digital twin development for urban applications such as energy and mobility.
As GIS Manager, Saeid will lead the implementation of GIS solutions for various projects and oversee AECO’s research program, “AI Enabled Digital Twins for Automating Regulatory Systems Within the Built Environment”. His expertise and experience make him an invaluable asset to the AECO Innovation Lab team, and we are thrilled to have him on board. Welcome to the team, Saeid!
