AECO Innovation Lab forms Board of Experts to shape digital landscape across AEC industries

A Board of Experts (BoE) has been formed at AECO Innovation Lab (AECO) to help shape the digital landscape across the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industries. The group of more than 25 industry leaders – all experts in their fields – will drive technology breakthroughs that the AEC sector has sought for decades.

Collaboration yields innovation
The AECO BoE consists of leaders from the private, public and academic sectors, each with a particular area of expertise. From architecture, design, planning, real estate, finance, risk management and software development to safety, change strategy, policy and more, they each bring a unique lens to their role on the Board. Together, they will collaborate on projects to bring about the innovation needed to build the businesses of tomorrow.
The Board serves an important role in the validation of concepts that come through AECO’s Start-up Studio program. These projects are innovative digital ventures in the prop-tech, design-tech, construction-tech and gov-tech domains that represent the future of these sectors.
Shepherding the digital revolution
In addition to being involved with early-stage start-ups from the AECO Start-up Studio, the BoE provides mentorship for the development of new solutions and helps to commercialize emerging technologies. They provide the industry, government and financial expertise to transform concepts into real-world solutions.
